A flower on the wax

Flora Glow is an organic soy wax candle in a clear glass jar. The pool is white. The bloom on top is a flower — brown or olive — with a cotton wick through the centre. It is a jar candle, not a free-standing bouquet.

How it is made

Poured in organic soy wax, finished with a shaped flower on the surface, made in India. Soy burns cooler than paraffin. The jar holds the wax; the flower is the face of the candle.

How to use it

Set it on a heat-safe dish. Light it for an evening on the table or the bedside. Leave it unlit if you want the flower to stay whole. It gifts as a small house object — not a perfume listing, not a tulip bouquet.

Care and burn

Before each lighting, trim the wick to about 5 mm. Keep the jar on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts, curtains, children and pets. The glass will get hot — do not pick it up while it is lit. Stop when about 1 cm of wax remains in the jar. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Let the wax harden before you move it. Keep it out of direct sun and hot cars so the flower does not slump.
